Before you recycle your laptop, it’s a great idea to unlock your iCloud or Google Lock, remove your passwords and erase any personal or sensitive information to protect your privacy. If the laptop is old or has died and you're unable to do that, it's no problem at all - your data will still be destroyed in the recycling process. We just prefer to remarket laptops when we can and locked devices make it impossible for them to be used by someone new. Super happy when unlocked and wiped!

If you still don't feel comfortable, just remove the hard drive. We can do it for you inhouse for a small fee if you'd like. If you're unsure about securely wiping your laptop, physically removing the hard drive is the most effective way to ensure your data is safe.
