First, schedule a pickup at cityewaste.com/katy-pickup and tell us what you have, where it’s located, and your preferred date, and we’ll confirm eligibility, any fees, and logistics. Second, our team inventories your devices, securely transports them, and tracks them through our chain-of-custody system. Third, electronics containing storage media are wiped using industry-standard methods performed by R2-certified downstream partners, which may include secure data wiping or physical destruction.

City eWaste Katy’s no-cost municipal recycling program launches in the Katy and Greater Houston area this summer. City eWaste partners with cities, counties, and public agencies to design and run turnkey electronics recycling programs at no cost to the municipality, eliminating the per-pound loading, transport, and landfill fees cities normally pay. Programs can include managed resident drop-off sites, container service at convenience centers, collection events, and school box programs, with certificates of recycling and performance reporting. Our City eWaste Katy team provides electronics recycling and business pickups across Greater Houston, including Katy, Cinco Ranch, Fulshear, Sugar Land, and West Houston.
Yes! Businesses with 12 or more computers or servers will have their pickup fee waived with City eWaste Katy. Smaller volumes can combine with a neighboring business, or pay the pickup fee. Most items are free to recycle, but there will be small service fees for items that are harder to dispose of. We’ll always confirm eligibility and any costs upfront before we schedule your electronics pickup.
Yes! City eWaste Katy can provide a Certificate of Destruction for business pickups to support HIPAA, SOC 2, and other compliance and audit records. Simply request for it in your online booking form.
Residential electronics drop-off is coming soon at City eWaste Katy. It launches at our grand opening this summer! Most household items (laptops, computers, phones, tablets, and cords) will be free to recycle, with larger items such as TVs typically $1–$5 each. Walk-in drop-offs, no appointment needed, with friendly staff to help you unload. Check back at cityewaste.com/katy or reach out to be notified when residential drop-off opens.

Electronics containing storage media are wiped or physically destroyed, reusable materials and critical metals are recovered, and we maintain a near-zero landfill policy. City eWaste Katy exists to build the recovery infrastructure for the rare-earth and critical-metals supply chain.
